Excalibur RP is a recording and production company founded by Garland ‘AKimbo’ Schumann and Zander Parry. Garland and Zander first crossed paths as interns at Drop of Sun Recording and Production in Asheville, NC, in early 2022, and quickly began working together as collaborators and colleagues. After years of independent freelance work and countless projects, Garland and Zander founded Excalibur in 2024 after Hurricane Helene in order to help facilitate the WNC musical communities’ continued expression and growth. In 2025, Garland and Zander relocated Excalibur RP to Raleigh, NC, in order to expand the company’s
outreach and availability to North Carolina as a whole. Over the past year, Excalibur’s client base has grown to include artists, producers, and agents from across the country stretching from LA to NYC. Excalibur represents a culmination of everything Garland and Zander have learned to love about the recording industry: creativity, collaboration, expression, and dedication. Whether your project takes you to the private studio or a commercial space, in person or remote, we take those values with use into each and every project.
